Celebrating another year older today, and I woke to cards and gifts from my loving family. I received a gift card for Sports Authority, a quick-meals cookbook, and Born to Run, a book where Colin and I had recently seen an interview with the author on TV. Great stuff!
At work, it was obvious no one remembered my birthday. I was a bit sad, but cheered by all the nice phone calls and emails I received from friends and family members during the day. Talk about making me feel great to hear from so many people!!!
We had dinner with Colin's parents at LeeRoy Selmon's tonight. Based on how the girls were starting to get a little wacky, we decided to cut out early without having dessert. Katie was really sad that she didn't get to sing to me at the restaurant! Oh well, they did sing at breakfast, and I was glad to get out before anyone had a meltdown. :)
Tomorrow Colin's parents will stay with the girls as he and I go to a movie. Whatever will I choose???
