Anyway. Maya's party! We assembled in the mall before the stores even opened so that our party could start immediately at 10am. The girls were all able to pick out their own animal from a select price range. We put hearts inside the animals, named them, and stuffed them. Once all girls had stuffed their animal, we "bathed" them, then picked an outfit from selections chosen by Maya's mom. The girls were also able to pick out bows for their animal's ears, which was very nice.

Build a Bear can be sort of overwhelming with all the options they have. Other parents were buying accessories for their girls' bears above and beyond what was included in the party, so I sprung for a pair of shoes for each of our animals. After a group picture with our fuzzy new friends, we were off to the food court for pizza and cupcakes!
It was a fun party and a neat idea that I had never considered. I think this would only work well with girls of a certain age group -- Natalie was almost too young to stay interested in the process. Happy Birthday Maya, and thanks for the fun morning!
My mom is a very avid teddy bear collector so I've spent a fair amount of time (and money) in a Build a Bear. I'm pretty sure they drink a special kind of juice before going on shift there.
